Introducing the 16-T0171 Standard model by Zhuozhou Tianpeng Imp. & Exp. Trade Co., Ltd. This pocket soil penetrometer is constructed from anodized aluminum, measuring 6-1/4" in length and 7/8" in diameter. The stainless steel pin can be easily cleaned using an Allen wrench. For very sensitive soils, a special 1-inch diameter adapter foot is available as an optional accessory.

The Zhuozhou Tianpeng Pocket Penetrometer is designed for determining the penetration resistance of top layers (measuring depth 5 mm) and samples in both field and laboratory settings. Simply push the instrument into the ground, and the pin will encounter the force of the ground, compressing the spring. A slip ring accompanies this operation, displaying the maximum force encountered on the scale. The scale is calibrated to provide immediate readings of the penetration resistance encountered.
