The Field Pressuremeter is an in-situ testing method used to quickly measure the stress-strain relationship of soil. It involves applying pressure to the sidewalls of a borehole and observing deformation. The pressuremeter consists of a read-out unit on the ground surface and a probe inserted into the borehole. By measuring pressure and volume changes, a load-deformation diagram and soil characteristics can be determined.
