Accropode, developed in 1981 by French Sogreah, is a concrete material used for coastal protection. The precast accropode is created using shaped composite steel formwork, ensuring a durable and reliable structure. The concrete is poured in layers, vibrated, and compacted for optimal strength. The prefabrication process includes formwork inspection, concrete placement, demoulding, and maintenance.

 

Types of Accropode Structures:

 

• A-Type Accropode: Shorter and fatter with chamfered ribs, making it firmer and easier to demould.


• B-Type Accropode: Thinner and taller with longer legs, suitable for small tonnage blocks but more challenging to demould.
