The Profilometer utilizes a professional road detection laser sensor (Belarus brand) and a high-precision acceleration sensor (American brand) to measure various parameters such as International Roughness Index (IRI), Flatness Standard Deviation (σ), Observation Play Score (RN), Driving Quality Index (RQI), Pavement Texture Depth (SMTD), Wheel Ruts, Speed, and Driving Distance. It displays each index and distance curve in real-time, conforming to ASTM E950 standards and meeting Surface Texture Measurement Class I requirements.
The RCD-2000 laser pavement cross-section test system employs advanced laser detection technology and traditional inertial reference transfer detection theory to measure IRI, SMTD, and all lanes in real-time at traffic speed. It is an integrated rapid detection equipment for pavement rutting and other pavement indicators.
The laser road surface roughness meter operates based on the principle of a test car traveling at a set speed on the road. A laser sensor mounted on the car's chassis measures the road surface by analyzing the angle of the reflected laser beam. This distance signal corresponds to the car's acceleration, with different signals from the sensors being processed to eliminate the car's own bumps. The output provides an accurate cross-section signal of the road surface. The signal processing system converts analog signals to digital, recording data at regular intervals during the car's journey. The data analysis system can then calculate flatness detection indicators like the International Flatness Index IRI.
