Accropode, developed in 1981 by French Sogreah, is a concrete material cast in one-time by fixed formwork. The precast of accropode typically uses shaped composite steel formwork, assembled in 2 mutually symmetrical units. The concrete is stratified in layers, vibrated with an inserted vibrator, and compacted after pouring. The mold is dismantled and maintained after 20 hours at normal temperature (25ºC).
The accropode structure comes in two types: A-type and B-type. A-type accropode is shorter and fatter with chamfered ribs, making it firmer and easier to demould. On the other hand, B-type accropode is thinner and taller, suitable for small tonnage blocks with longer legs.
Prefabrication process: formwork inspection and cleaning, brushing release oil, formwork installation, concrete placement, demoulding, repair and maintenance, component stacking.
